Test strips, peroxide, QUANTOFIX®
Supplier: MACHEREY-NAGEL
QUANTOFIX® test strips meet all requirements of a modern rapid test. The colour of the reactive pad changes depending on the concentration of an analyte in the sample. The evaluation is usually carried out visually by comparison of the reaction colour with a multi-stage colour scale. These test strips are immediately ready-to-use. They do not require additional accessories. The test strips are intended for single use, maintenance or calibration are not required.
- Results within seconds: Just dip, wait and read against multi-stage colour scale
- Always ready to use: No accessories necessary for evaluation
- Safe results: Desiccant in the stopper for optimal protection of the strips against humidity
These test strips are ideal to test levels of peroxide in solutions. The easy 'dip and read' procedure provides reliable results within 15 to 45 seconds.
Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is one of the most powerful oxidisers known. Its disinfectant capabilities are higher than for chlorine (Cl₂) or chlorine dioxide (ClO₂). It is used extensively in many industries as a disinfectant, for example in the food and dairy industry. Here peroxide test strips are used to test for residual peroxide after production equipment has been disinfected with peroxide-containing agents. If the test pad remains white, no peroxide is left and production can continue. Additionally, the final product is often tested for peroxide with test strips as well, because many packages are disinfected with peroxide prior to filling. Thus, optimal product quality is guaranteed and the final product is free from peroxide.
QUANTOFIX® peroxide test strips are the ideal tool to test for peroxide in solutions in the desired range. Additionally, these test strips are also suitable to detect peroxide in organic solvents.
