Thiamine (Vitamin B1) is one of the essential vitamins and is required for carbohydrate metabolism.
Thiamine hydrochloride is used as a food-additive to add a brothy/meaty flavor to gravies or soups. It is also used as food supplement.
Soluble in HCl (50 mg/ml - clear, colorless solution).
