7-Fluorobenzo-2-oxa-13-diazole-4-sulphonic acid ammonium salt, powder
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Synonyms:
Ammonium 7-fluoro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole-4-sulphonate
7-Fluorobenzofurazan-4-sulfonic acid ammonium salt is a sensitive and specific fluorescent labeling reagent for low molecular weight compounds and for macromolecules containing thiol groups.
It does not exhibit any fluorescence of its own and no fluorescent by-products are formed in the reaction with SBD-F. The rate of reaction of thiols with SBD-F gradually increases with increasing pH.
7-Fluorobenzofurazan-4-sulphonic acid ammonium salt is used as a fluorescent probe for thiols and pre-column labeling of biological thiols for HPLC.
Soluble in water (10 mg/1 ml) or methanol.
