di-Lithium tetraborate
It is used as a general purpose acidic flux for fusing basic oxides, carbonates, alumino-silicates, glass, ceramics, cement steel, aluminium, concrete mixes, soils, magnesites, bauxites, rare earth oxides and also for dissolution of samples containing a high concentration of basic oxides, carbonate rocks and aluminosilicates.
- Incompatible with strong oxidising agents and strong acids, acid anhydrides and alkali metals
- Used in enamels
