Doxorubicin hydrochloride is an anti-tumour, anti-neoplastic and anti-biotic agent that inhibits DNA topoisomerase II. It also inhibits nucleic acid synthesis and induces apoptosis.

Doxorubicin hydrochloride possesses fluorescent properties, which enable it to be used for the measurement of drug efflux pump activities and investigating the role of subcellular organelles (golgi and lysosome) in the sequestration of drugs.
Caution: Moisture and light sensitive. Store in a cool place. Keep the container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Incompatible with strong oxidising agents.
