TSKgel® SW size exclusion columns are widely used for aqueous analysis and isolation of proteins, antibodies, enzymes, nucleic acids and other biological macromolecules.
- Columns show high resolution and sensitivity and have excellent solvent stability with up to 100% polar organic solvents
- The smaller particle size of the UltraSW and SWXL materials result in reduced analysis times
- UP-SW columns are now available for UHPLC-SEC applications improving productivity and resolution
- All SW-type columns are available in stainless steel hardware; SWXL columns are also available in PEEK hardware
- TSKgel® SuperSW mAb HR is the ideal scouting column for unknown molecular weight compounds
TSKgel® UP-SW:
With modern advances in technology, Tosoh Bioscience have launched a range of 2 µm UHPLC columns for use in SEC. The TSKgel® UP-SW3000 columns are available in 150 and 300 mm lengths for use on modern, low dead volume HPLC or UHPLC instrumentation. They provide short analysis times and allow analysts to achieve improved resolution compared with the equivalent larger particle size columns. Offering the same exclusion range as the TSKgel® G3000SWXL columns, these columns are ideal for fast separations of monoclonal antibody analysis or can be used to improve your separation.
TSKgel® UltraSW:
Launched in 2013, TSKgel® UltraSW columns contain spherical 3 µm particles (300 Å pore size). TSKgel® UltraSW Aggregate has a slightly larger pore size than the TSKgel® SuperSW mAb columns and provides a wider separation window for higher order monoclonal antibody aggregates.
TSKgel® SuperSW:
In 1997, Tosoh Bioscience launched the initial TSKgel® SuperSW columns which contain spherical 4 µm particles in 4,6×300 mm dimensions and extended this portfolio in 2013 with further columns including the SuperSW mAb HTP suitable for UHPLC applications. This range offers high sensitivity even with limited sample mass. The TSKgel® SuperSW mAb HR - 'HR' indicating high resolution - delivers superior resolution over the whole molecular weight range, from fragments to aggregates, when analysing monoclonals. It has the same column dimensions and molecular weight range as the well-established TSKgel® G3000SWXL.
TSKgel® SWXL:
Introduced in 1987, the TSKgel® SWXL column line were the second generation TSKgel® phases developed with 5 or 8 µm particle size packings. The smaller particle sizes of the TSKgel® SWXL columns mean these can be implemented to improve sample resolution or to reduce analysis time (over SW columns). The G3000SWXL has proven to be the industry standard for QC analysis of monoclonal antibodies. Columns feature high pore volume per unit column volume, low sample adsorption and high column efficiency, all contributing to excellent sample resolution.
TSKgel® SW:
The TSKgel® SW column line, introduced in 1977, were the first of a long line of high-performance Gel Filtration (GFC) columns that have become synonymous with analysing protein molecular weights. It features 10 or 13 µm particle sizes with improved sample capacity for protein isolation due to the large pore sizes.
