PS, without lid. Microplates in strip format offer the advantage of greater flexibility. Individual strips can be removed from the support frame so that the number of tests to be performed can be adjusted to the number of samples, and is not predetermined by the microplate format used. Strip plates are available with high binding surfaces that display a higher protein binding capacity for polar proteins (MICROLON® 600), medium binding surfaces, which are more hydrophobic and are therefore better suited for non-polar proteins and peptides (MICROLON® 200), black (FLUOTRAC™) or white (LUMITRAC™). These plates are also available with a choice of well profile: C-bottom, U-bottom or F-bottom.
- C-bottom (single-break) strip plates have a flat bottom profile with rounded corners (the rounded corners mean that the individual wells can be pipetted without leaving a residue, and the flat bottom enables precise optical measurement)
- U-bottom strip plates can be pipetted simply and cleanly and are suitable for ± analysis; they are ideally suited for agglutination tests
- F-bottom strip plates are ideal for the most precise optical measurements as the measuring light beam is not deflected by the well profile
- Free of DNase, RNase and human DNA, and are non-pyrogenic
