MSDS

Supplier: VWR Collection
Description: PerfectBlue S and M tank electroblotters are designed to rapidly transfer nucleic acid or protein fragments from up to four polyacrylamide gels at a time to nitrocellulose, nylon or PVDF membranes. The colour coded cassettes allow for easy assembly of transfer sandwich and error-free transfer. The large buffer capacity and integral cooling allow extended transfer times and high voltage/high current operation for the transfer of high molecular weight proteins.

Catalog Number: (VWRI700-0416)
Supplier: VWR Collection
Description: The kuroGEL semi-dry blotter provides great flexibility in a laboratory since it can be used for all types of blotting: Western, Southern and Northern. Blotting is fast and easy, and can typically be completed in 15 to 30 min. Set-up procedures are easy and economical with little buffer needed. The screw down lid adjusts to varying gel thicknesses and sizes, while the platinum coated electrodes provide uniform pressure ensuring even transfers.

Supplier: CLEAVER SCIENTIFIC
Description: These semi-dry blotters offer rapid transfer times for DNA, RNA and protein blotting – typically 15 to 30 minutes. All units can be used for all types of blotting: Western, Southern and Northern via uncomplicated buffer and set-up procedures and are compatible with gel thicknesses from 0,25 mm up to 10 mm without the need for additional equipment. Each unit is compatible with their respective omniPAGE vertical gel system. The electrodes, comprising platinum coated anode and stainless steel cathode exhibits no corrosion.

Supplier: VWR Collection
Description: Ideal for use as wicks in protein and nucleic acid blotting. Provides a uniform flow of buffer through the gel to the transfer membrane in a blotting sandwich. Also suitable for use in removing gels from glass supports.

Supplier: VWR Collection
Description: This super thick paper is used to complete the blotting sandwich. Smooth, uniform texture ensures continuous contact of buffer from the chamber through the gel and transfer membrane.

Catalog Number: (GENO786-018PV)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Supplier Article Number:: 786-018PV
Description: Pre-cut transfer membranes and padding for Western blot transfer procedures. Pre-cut membranes are supplied sandwiched between blotting paper padding. Simply soak the membrane in transfer buffer and assemble with the gel in a transfer cassette. Nitrocellulose (0,22 µm pore size) and PVDF (0,45 µm pore size) membranes are available.

Supplier: Whatman products (Cytiva)
Description: Protran® membranes are manufactured from 100% pure nitrocellulose to ensure the highest binding capacity possible. They are compatible with a variety of detection methods, including isotopic, chemiluminescent, colorimetric and fluorescent. No methanol pre-wetting step is required, making this the membrane of choice for proteins which prefer aqueous environments. Prior to transfer the membrane is simply wetted with water, and then placed in the transfer buffer. No other pre treatment steps are necessary.

Catalog Number: (PIER46430)
Supplier: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Supplier Article Number:: 46430
Description: Some antibodies are difficult to remove from Western blots and require Longer incubation times or incubation temperatures greater than 22 °C. Restore™ PLUS Western Blot Stripping Buffer was developed to reduce incubation times while keeping incubations at room temperature. High-affinity antibodies can be quickly and effectively stripped from Western blots without removing transferred proteins, thereby allowing multiple reprobes of the target.

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: CAPS is a zwitterionic biological buffer which has minimal reactivity with enzymes or proteins and minimal salt effects. CAPS buffer is widely used in Western and immunoblotting experiments as well as protein sequencing and identification. The high pH of this buffer makes it useful for the transfer of proteins with a pI > 8,5.

Supplier Article Number:: 0855951
Description: Product is the lyophilized powder of rat IgG and buffer salts.IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections. The total protein is determined using the Biuret procedure, with bovine albumin as the standard. Each vial is overfilled by approximately 10 percent so that a minimum of 20 mg of rat IgG is obtained upon reconstitution.

Supplier: OMEGA BIO-TEK
Description: The E-Z 96® Total RNA Kit is designed for isolation of total cellular RNA from up to 5×10⁶ cultured cells or soft tissues. This kit can process single or multiple samples in less than 60 minutes. Utilising HiBind® silica plate technology, the need for phenol/chloroform extractions, CsCl gradient ultracentrifugation, and precipitation with isopropanol or LiCl are eliminated. Samples are lysed in a denaturing lysis buffer which inactivates RNases. Binding conditions are adjusted and the lysate is transferred to a 96-well HiBind® RNA Plate where the RNA is purified via three wash steps. High quality RNA is eluted in RNase-free water. RNA purified using the E-Z 96® Total RNA method is ready for applications such as RT-PCR, qPCR, differential display, microarrays, and other downstream applications.

Description: Storage: Store at Room Temperature (15-30 °C)
Glycine is a non-essential amino acid. It is only amino acid with no asymmetric carbon and thus is not chiral. It is the major inhibitory neurotransmitter. It is involved in the biosynthesis of the porphyrin rings of hemes and chlorophylls.
Glycine is commonly used in buffer solutions, in electrophoresis and preparative chromatography. A study of the folding of monoclonal antibodies in the presence of glycine and their subsequent purification has been published. The use of glycine in the purification of lipopolysaccharides, lipooligosaccharides, and lipid A has been reported. It is an amino acid for use in cell culture media development applications and existing media formulations. Glycine is commonly used as a component in Tris-glycine and Tris-glycine-SDS running buffers for polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, a component of Towbin's transfer buffer for Western blots, a buffer substance in cryoenzymology, in osmotic pressure maintenance in isoelectric focusing of erythrocytes, salting-in effect in protein chemistry, and as a buffer component in the coupled phosphatase-kinase reaction for end labelling of restriction fragments. The growth requirements of various microorganisms is reported in the Handbook of Microbiology.
Glycine is a non-chiral amino acid that can be synthesized in the body from the amino acid serine by Serine Hydroxymethyltransferase. Inhibitory neurotransmitter in spinal cord, allosteric regulator of NMDA receptors.

Supplier: VWR Collection
