Safety Storage
Cabinets for Flammable Liquids
The most important protection goal of a safety storage cabinet is to reliably shield flammables against a critical temperature increase (180K) in the event of a fire over a defined period of time. Explosions can occur if the temperature rises by more than 180 K, because many flammable chemicals start to reach their auto ignitation point . Safety storage cabinets for flammable liquids are important to :
- Avoid explosions that accelerate the fire
- Adequate time for personnel to escape
- Adequate time for fire-fighting and rescue missions
Only Type 90 ( 90 minutes fire resistant ) cabinets in accordance with EN 14470-1 offer maximum safety.
