Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Tetracycline is a broad spectrum polyketide antibiotic with clinical uses in treating bacterial infections such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever, typush fever, tick fevers, Q fever, and Brill-Zinsser disease and to treat upper respiratory infections and acne. It has been used in studies of multidrug resistance and potential side effects including acute pancreatitis.

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Minocycline hydrochloride (INN) is a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic, and has a broader spectrum than the other members of the group. It is a bacteriostatic antibiotic, classified as a long-acting type.

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Chlortetracycline hydrochloride has antimicrobial action similar to tetracycline hydrochloride, but it is somewhat less active against many Gram-negative organisms. It was first isolated from the culture of Streptomyces aureofacien.

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Tetracyline is an antibiotic substance (gram-positive, gram-negative and mycoplasma) produced by streptomyces spp.
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Ampicillin is a semi-synthetic derivative of penicillin, active as a broad-spectrum antibiotic. It is inactivated by beta-lactamases and for this reason a beta-lactamase inhibitor should be considered when using ampicillin. Against gram-positive bacteria, ampicillin has a similar mode of action as benzylpenicillin; against gram-negative bacteria, it has a similar mode of action as chloramphenicol and tetracyclines. In E. coli it inhibits cell wall synthesis.
Catalog Number: (ICNA04821225)
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Supplier Article Number:: 04821225
Description: pBR322 is a 4363 bp vector purified from Escherichia coli. It is one of the most commonly used cloning vectors, that confers resistance to ampicillin and tetracycline. It contains single restriction sites for Pst I and Pvu I within the ampicillin-resistance gene (ampr) and single restriction sites for BamH I, Sal I, Sph I, EcoR V, Nru I and Xma III within the tetracycline-resistance gene (tetr).

Description: Octadecyl-modified HPTLC silica layers available as glass plates or ALUGRAM® aluminium sheets. Recommended for aminophenol, barbiturates, preservatives, nucleobases, polycyclic aromatic, hydrocarbons, steroids, tetracyclines, and plasticisers (phthalates).
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Ampicillin sodium salt is a semi-synthetic derivative of penicillin, active as a broad-spectrum antibiotic.

Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic complex produced by fermentation of Micromonospora purpurea or M. echinospora. It is a mixture of 3 major components designated as C1, C1a, and C2. Gentamicin is used as the sulfate salt. Each component consists of five basic nitrogens and requires five equivalents of sulfuric acid per mole of gentamicin base. Mode of action: Gentamicin causes codon misreading by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, blocking the translocation of peptidyl-tRNA from the acceptor site to the donor site.The bactericidal effect of gentamicin on Pseudomonas aeruginosa is exerted by the binding of gentamicin to the outer membrane, where it displaces natural cations, destabilizes the membrane, and forms holes in the cell surface.Antimicrobial spectrum: Gram-negative bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and other Gram-positive bacteria. Gentamicin sulfate is a broad spectrum antibiotic. It inhibits the growth of a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, including strains resistant to tetracycline, chloramphenicol, kanamycin, and colistin, particularly strains of Pseudomonas, Proteus, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus. Gentamicin sulfate inhibits bacterial protein biosynthesis by binding to the 30S subunit of the ribosome.
